Our Mission
The mission of the Lakes Region Art Association is to enhance the ability of its members to create art and to further the appreciation of art in the Lakes Region area by the promotion, education, sale, and display of the visual fine arts. The Association is a non-profit educational and cultural organization located in the Tanger Outlets, Suite 300 in Tilton, New Hampshire.
Artist of the Month - January 2025
LRAA members have the opportunity to enter a piece of artwork into the Artist of the Month Program at each monthly Member Meeting. Winners are able to display and sell a single work for a month in various public venues throughout the Lakes Region in participating Banks and Libraries or Local Businesses.

These Winning Artists' artwork will be on display in locations in the Lakes Region until February 17th.
Wendy Oellers-Fulmer, this month’s First Place winner has the distinct honor of displaying several pieces of her artwork at Annie’s Cafe & Catering in Laconia NH. Warm up with some scrumptious homemade soup and sandwiches and enjoy the art while you eat!
The art pieces for the Honorable Mention artist will be on display through January 20th in the following locations:

Saturday Morning Drawing & Painting with Tom Hitchcock
All classes are 10AM to Noon
January 4th, 11th and 25th
• This class is for very serious art students ages 14 to 80.

Watercolor for Beginners
This in-person class series is designed for budding artists and absolute beginners who want to unleash their creativity while learning foundational techniques in a welcoming, supportive environment.
This is a 5-week class with a maximum enrollment of 10 students
$200 ( $50 deposit at registration, balance due at start of first class)
Starts January 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM
You’ll learn:
The basics of watercolor materials and tools
Essential techniques like washes, blending, and layering
Tips to create vibrant, dynamic compositions
Confidence to start your own watercolor projects
Watercolor on Canvas Returns!
This is the return of the popular 2024 curriculum. This month you’ll learn as you paint a Highland Cow.
A Prepared Canvas and class drawing included.
Bring your favorite brushes and watercolors (tube or pan).
A limited quantity of watercolor and brushes will be available at the class if needed.
$50 for the class and supplies
